Brasserie Latem installs 4ASoft Resto

Peter van den Bossche is owner of Brasserie Latem at Sint Martens Latem. «Four years ago we realized that our restaurant needs to be automated.”

The number of customers was increasing. But we also wished to preserve perfect and fast service for existing clients. Integration process had to be flexible and not interrupt traditional brasserie operation. As each investment has its risks, the stage of choosing a software system was the most serious task.

We had a specification with strict requirements:

For example, we have a wine cellar with a lot of different wine brands, so we needed a fast and flexible search process to find a necessary bottle. We also requested for regular updates of wine list which would contain a detailed description of each wine bottle - place of grapes origin, year, and attractive prices for expensive wine brands as well as for less expensive ones.

What is also important is that our wine and products can be bought as
“carry-out” at retail prices. Many of our clients are business people requiring an invoice at the end of the month with different methods of payment.

The weather in Belgium can be different, and we can bring our orders to the terrace as well as to various rooms and the arrangement of tables should be fast and flexible.

A set of several foreign languages was one more important criterion.

Usually we work until past midnight, cash register daily report should be done by one click, month invoices should be calculated by another click.

Briefly, we needed an ERP system with specific functions appropriate for a restaurant.

When we started reviewing variants suitable to our operational requirements,
4ASoft Resto clearly turned out to be the best solution. It fits to our needs very well: booking tables, entering orders quickly by means of a touch screen, connection to the accounting system, generating orders for suppliers, etc.

Another feature that I like is the remote control. It is important for me to access the system while traveling. With
4ASoft Resto it is as if I were sitting in my office and analyzing the results of the day or week, no matter where I happen to be.
Now we use the latest version, which lets us keep our website updated without exporting a particular database. I edit the daily menu, make price changes and add wine descriptions and post them on the website directly from the program, it is very easy and fast! We are planning to integrate the e-commerce into the website to offer “carry-out” meals and wine.

We were completely satisfied with the integration of the system. We had no down-time at all and always received quick responses from the support team."
